DESCRIPTION

The Thomas Bonnell House is one of the most intact Federal Style houses in Erie County. It is located on the south side of Station Road. The 2-story, 5-bay house is an outstanding brick building from the early 19th century. Its end-gabled roof is clad with a standing seam tin roof and features brick chimneys near each end of the ridge. The brick walls are laid in common bond. Windows are 6x6 units, some of which are replacement but with historic muntin profiles. The door is an 8-panel unit in the center bay. The house was constructed into the slope of the hill, and its stone foundation steps down to the southeast, providing a full basement.
