HISTORY

This stately dwelling was the ancestral home of the Moorehead family, one of the earliest, most prominent families in Erie County. THomas Moorehead, who settled in Erie COunty in 1800, was one of the founders of the Presbyterian Church of North East. The area of Harborcreek known as Moorheadville is named for this family.
